We’re partnering with a well-known brand to find an experienced Payroll Lead. This is a hands-on role focused on quality control, operational oversight, and ensuring the seamless delivery of fortnightly and monthly payroll across Australia and New Zealand.

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee day-to-day payroll operations and task allocation across the ANZ region

• Manage BAU payroll delivery (fortnightly/monthly), including termination and redundancy payments

• Provide guidance and support to a capable payroll team (no direct reports)

• Handle escalations and ensure compliance with tax, superannuation, and audit requirements

• Review calculations and ensure data accuracy and integrity

• Contribute to process improvement and documentation, supporting a move toward greater self-service

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in HR, Finance, and Technology

About you:

• multiple years of end-to-end payroll experience (Australia & NZ)

• Proven experience in a Payroll Lead or Senior Consultant role (advisory rather than people management)

• High level of accuracy, integrity, and discretion

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Experienced with payroll systems (Preceda preferred); solid Excel skills

• Strong communicator and team player with a continuous improvement mindset
