Technical Project Manager

RedEarth Energy Storage is an Australian-owned Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturer delivering smart, modular, and safe energy storage solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

While RedEarth has been operating for over a decade, we are currently in a startup-to-scale-up phase – commercialising products, strengthening delivery capability, and building the internal frameworks needed to support growth. This role is critical to that journey.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Project Manager to help stand up and drive internal delivery across a growing product and engineering organisation.

This is not a mature PMO environment. You’ll be joining a business where:

• Delivery frameworks are evolving

• Ownership is real

• Ambiguity is normal

• Progress matters more than perfect process

You’ll own complex, cross-functional technical projects from concept through delivery, while also helping define how projects should be run as the organisation scales.

This is an internal R&D delivery role – not an EPC, construction, or site-delivery position.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning end-to-end internal technical projects across product development and commercialisation

• Helping establish fit-for-purpose project frameworks, cadence, and tools as the business grows

• Translating business and engineering needs into clear, executable delivery plans

• Driving progress across engineering, product, operations, supply chain, and commercial teams

• Identifying risks, dependencies, and trade-offs early – and actively working through them

• Balancing hands-on execution with coordination and stakeholder alignment

• Creating clarity where it doesn’t yet exist

• Supporting documentation, testing, quality, and certification activities

• Continuously improving how delivery works as RedEarth scales

What you bring

• Experience as a Technical Project Manager, Delivery Lead, or similar role in a product-led or engineering-driven environment

• Demonstrated ability to build delivery capability , not just follow existing process

• Strong fundamentals in planning, sequencing, dependency management, and risk

• Enough technical depth to work credibly with engineers

• Comfort operating in ambiguity and change

• Experience using project tools (formal or lightweight) appropriate to the stage of the business

Desirable (but not essential)

• Engineering or technical degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or similar)

• Experience with hardware products, energy systems, or regulated environments

• Experience helping a business move from startup to scale-up
