Peuker & Alexander, a leader in the manufacturing of roof trusses and wall frames, is seeking a skilled and experienced Wood Machinist to join their team at Campbellfield factory. This is a full-time position offering long-term career prospects in a well-established and safety-focused organisation.
About the Role:
Peuker & Alexander is looking for a highly capable Wood Machinist with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience, particularly in machining timber components for roof trusses and wall frames.
Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret CAD drawings, work orders, and sample parts
• Determine machine settings, tooling, and operational sequences
• Set up woodworking machine for measuring & cutting.
• Operate machinery to produce high-quality timber components
• Reset machine and production programming as required
• Fit and fasten frame pieces accurately
• Mount backing materials and subjects for framing
• Manage component flow and replace consumables such as nails
• Troubleshoot machine stoppages and carry out basic maintenance
• Ensure the work area is kept within safety compliance standards
• Monitor and manage safety devices on equipment

What Peuker & Alexander is Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in wood machining
• Strong background in roof trusses and wall frame production
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• A proactive and team-oriented mindset
