As a Level 1 Accounts Receivable Officer, you are the frontline representative of our business, responsible for interacting with customers and resolving payment-related issues. You will provide advisory support across a range of services, including internet, email, voice, and other products we supply.
You are expected to demonstrate professionalism and empathy while delivering a high level of customer assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls, providing over-the-phone finance and billing support, including assistance with payments, retention, and cancellations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions within the ticketing system, including matters related to accounts receivable and investigations.
- Manage assigned tickets, ensuring all issues are followed through to resolution or appropriately escalated.
- Collaborate with Level 2 support staff and Team Leaders on escalated matters to resolve complex customer concerns.
- Liaise with third-party wholesale providers where required to assist in resolving customer issues.
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone, tickets, email, and other relevant channels.
- Utilise APN’s information management systems and tools to accurately investigate and manage customer services.
- Process scheduled payments and update customer payment details as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, or finance administration.
- Strong understanding of invoicing, payment allocation, and account reconciliation.
- Experience managing customer payment enquiries, disputes, and overdue accounts.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial data processing.
- Proficiency in billing/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
