We are seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our team.
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Assisting Architects in the preparation of architectural drawings, plans and detailed documentation
- Interpreting architectural designs, specifications and building codes to ensure compliance with regulations
- Preparing concept sketches, working drawings and detailed plans using CAD software
- Revising and updating drawings in line with client requirements and consultant feedback
- Coordinating documentation with engineers and other consultants to support project development
- Supporting the preparation of development applications and construction documentation
- Conducting site visits to verify measurements and ensure alignment with design intent
- Assisting with material selection and preparing technical specifications
- Maintaining accurate drawing records and project documentation
- Performing calculations and preparing preliminary data for design development
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a closely related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Architectural Draftsperson or in a similar role
- Strong technical drawing and architectural design skills, with proficiency in CAD software
- Solid understanding of building materials, construction methods, and relevant building regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and consultants
- High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing documentation
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $80,000 – $90,000 per annum plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
