Ovolo Sydney (Woolloomooloo) is the brand’s flagship Australian hotel, located in Sydney’s idyllic harbourside suburb of… (dramatic drum roll) Woolloomooloo. Nestled in the heart of the popular wharf precinct, a short walk to the city’s central business district, the hotel is surrounded by a wide selection of much-loved dining and nightlife options. Ovolo Woolloomooloo features 100 guest rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, meeting rooms and event spaces, a swimming pool, and Woolloomooloo Bar.
The Gig
As our Food and Beverage Attendant , you will confidently operate as a barista-trained attendant, preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, while also supporting service across our new café, Bruno’s, hotel breakfast operations, and in-room dining. This is a part-time gig and will require flexibility in your availability. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Operate across multiple service areas, including barista (coffee preparation), food running, in-room dining service, and supporting café (Brunos) and hotel breakfast operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Serve guests promptly and accurately, according to their order, accommodating any reasonable request, being diligent in relation to allergies/dislikes, and noting preferences for future visits
- Prepare cocktails and all other beverages requested by guests to the required standard and serve promptly, following up with guests by offering additional food/beverages and clearing promptly
- Follow all billing procedures, and ensure payments and use of till and payment stations are in line with cash and payment handling procedures
- Follow supervisors’ instructions about menu changes, selling strategies, customer feedback, and service issues

As our newest Food & Beverage Attendant, you will bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn. You thrive in a dynamic and busy environment, enjoy multi-tasking, and are confident communicating with guests to recommend and explain our food and beverage offerings.
Ideally, you will have 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant and bar environment, along with a proactive mindset and energetic personality that helps create exceptional experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.
