About the Opportunity
As the Emergency Services Officer / Paramedic, you will play a critical role in protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of site personnel while helping establish emergency response and occupational health capability from the ground up. Working closely with the Health, Safety and Environment team, you will deliver frontline emergency response, provide clinical care and injury management support, coordinate health surveillance activities and contribute to the ongoing development of site safety standards and culture.
This is a unique opportunity to join a new mining operation from its early stages and make a genuine impact in shaping how emergency and medical services are delivered across site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency response, first aid and clinical care across site
- Assess, treat and coordinate medical care for injured or unwell personnel
- Support emergency preparedness, drills and response activities
- Assist with occupational health monitoring and health surveillance programs
- Maintain medical facilities, equipment, supplies and records
- Collaborate with site leaders, emergency services and healthcare providers
- Contribute to a positive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Unrestricted AHPRA Registration
- Current First Aid and Advanced First Aid qualifications
- Current Driver's Licence
- Experience within emergency services, paramedicine, mining, industrial or other high-risk environments
- Strong communication, decision-making and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously within a remote operational setting
