The Role:

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Assistant Manager to join our Bundall store team. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you'll help lead and inspire a team of retail professionals, ensuring smooth store operations and exceptional customer experiences. This permanent part-time role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with retail leadership experience looking to take on more responsibility in a dynamic and customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail store, ensuring high standards of customer service, sales, and store presentation
  • Assist in developing and executing sales strategies to meet and exceed store targets
  • Lead by example, providing guidance and support to a small team of retail assistants, helping them grow and succeed
  • Ensure the store is stocked appropriately, monitoring inventory levels and placing orders as needed
  • Maintain the store's visual presentation, ensuring products are attractively displayed and in line with Alfresco Emporium's brand standards
  • Foster a positive and productive team environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with budgets and financial management, ensuring the store remains within set financial guidelines
  • Build lasting relationships with customers and provide expert advice on our products to enhance their home and lifestyle

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid retail management or supervisory experience, ideally in a lifestyle or homewares environment
  • Proven ability to manage a team, lead by example, and maintain high levels of employee engagement
  • Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first approach
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends (Wednesday through Saturday)
  • A passion for quality products and home décor, with a genuine interest in delivering great customer experiences
