About the Role
Reporting to the
Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef, you'll support day-to-day kitchen operations
— preparing quality dishes, learning new techniques, and helping keep service
running like clockwork.
Day to day you'll be:
- Preparing ingredients and mise en place to the
standard set by our senior chefs - Cooking and plating dishes with consistency,
colour, texture and flavour front of mind - Following recipes, portion sizes and quality
standards under guidance - Learning new techniques, cuisines and menu items
as you grow into the role - Keeping your section clean, organised and
HACCP-compliant - Checking deliveries and rotating stock for
freshness and quality - Supporting your fellow chefs during busy
services
What We're Looking For
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or currently
completing your apprenticeship), or equivalent experience - Some experience in a professional kitchen;
high-volume experience a bonus - Food Handling Certificate preferred, with a
working knowledge of HACCP - A genuine passion for food, hospitality and
learning from the best - A team player who takes direction well and
brings a positive attitude - Flexibility to work varied shifts including
nights, weekends, and public holidays
