Compliance Officer

Based in Toowoomba with offices in Ipswich, Goondiwindi,
Roma, Hervey Bay, and Gympie, Tasc Community Legal Centre provides a broad
range of services including legal advice and advocacy to clients across the

The position

Joining our team in either Toowoomba or Ipswich, the Compliance Officer plays
an important role in supporting Tasc’s governance, compliance, quality and risk
management frameworks. Working closely with the Compliance Manager and teams
across the organisation, you will help ensure our systems, records and
processes remain accurate, effective and compliant with legislative, funding
and organisational requirements.

The role is responsible for maintaining compliance registers
and records, coordinating policy and document control processes, supporting
audits and accreditation activities, monitoring compliance obligations, and
assisting with organisational reporting. You will work across multiple systems,
including Salesforce and SharePoint, to support data integrity, record keeping
and quality assurance activities.

You will also contribute to continuous improvement
initiatives by monitoring corrective actions, assisting with policy reviews,
supporting governance processes and helping teams understand and meet
compliance requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who
enjoys working with detail, processes and systems while contributing to
positive organisational outcomes.

Some travel between offices is required, which may
occasionally include overnight stays.

The person

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Business, Governance, Compliance, Quality Management, Community Services or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A current Queensland Driver Licence.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Positive Notice for Working with Children and Disability Services screening (Blue and Yellow Cards)
  • Experience in compliance, governance, administration, quality assurance, risk management or a similar field.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and registers.
  • Well-developed written communication and document management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • The ability to interpret policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
  • A collaborative and customer-focused approach to working with internal stakeholders.
  • Alignment with Tasc's values of Integrity, Adaptability, Courage and Empowerment.

The following will be highly
regarded:

  • Experience supporting audits, accreditation processes or quality assurance activities.
  • Experience using Salesforce, SharePoint or similar business systems.
  • Experience working within a not-for-profit, community services or funded service environment.
  • Qualifications or training in governance, compliance, risk management or quality systems.

 

Salary and classification will be SCHADS Award Level 4+ dependent
on qualifications and experience.
