Our business is Country Gardens Motel serving Indian Cuisine and Western Cuisine. We need Cook to perform the following duties:
Job Description
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes for a full-service restaurant in accordance with established recipes and service standards
- Monitoring food quality, portion control, and presentation during all stages of preparation and service
- Maintaining consistency in portion control and presentation
- Operating and regulating kitchen equipment, including ovens and grills, to ensure correct cooking temperatures
- Seasoning, plating, and finishing dishes with appropriate sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments
- Preparing meals to meet special dietary requirements and customer requests
- Managing storage, rotation, and labelling of food items
- Ensuring safe storage of food in temperature-controlled facilities in line with food safety requirements
- Monitoring stock levels and minimising food wastage
- Assisting with menu planning, food preparation levels, and service coordination
- Supporting and guiding junior kitchen staff during service periods
Skills Required:
Qualification: Cert III + two years of on the job training or Cert IV or Diploma
Experience: 3 years of experience
Specialisation: Indian Cuisine
