Band 8 | Temporary Assignment (4-6 months)
Location: Werribee (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite)
About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Coordinator Information Management to lead the development and implementation of best-practice information and records management frameworks within a complex and service-driven environment.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring organisational information and customer data are accurate, secure, well-governed and compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements. You will also play a pivotal role in driving the transition to modern digital systems and strengthening enterprise-wide information management capability.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide information and records management frameworks
- Establish and embed strong data quality governance practices, including standards, monitoring and continuous improvement
- Oversee the transition to modern digital systems, optimising recordkeeping platforms and data environments
- Manage information governance risks across the full data and records lifecycle
- Provide strategic oversight on compliance with privacy, data protection and public records requirements
- Lead, coach and develop a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
- Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to uplift information management practices and capability
- Drive organisational change initiatives to support adoption of new systems and processes
About you
You are a proven leader in information and records management with strong strategic capability and a hands-on approach to delivery. You bring:
- Substantial experience developing and implementing information and records management frameworks and policies
- Strong knowledge of information governance, data quality, and lifecycle management practices
- Experience leading teams, including coaching, performance management and change leadership
- Sound understanding of privacy, data protection and public records obligations
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and drive organisational outcomes
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and project management capability
Desirable experience
- Experience within local government or similarly regulated environments
- Knowledge of PROV standards, recordkeeping compliance and audit requirements
