Your Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care tailored to the correctional environment, managing a wide range of health issues unique to this setting.
- Conduct health assessments, chronic disease management, and emergency response within secure facilities.
- Deliver care that respects security protocols while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.
- Work closely with correctional officers, medical teams, mental health specialists, and allied health professionals to support holistic inmate care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with all safety and infection control standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (unrestricted).
- Must have full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
- Minimum 4 years nursing experience, preferably with correctional or forensic healthcare exposure.
- Strong clinical skills including emergency response, medication administration, and chronic disease management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within secure environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with patients, security staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel and commit to 4-12 week locum contracts in regional or remote correctional facilities.
