We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant (Surgical) to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in a surgical environment. This role is crucial in supporting dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for the dental field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during surgical procedures by preparing instruments and materials
- Ensure the surgical area is clean and sterile before, during, and after procedures
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation of treatments
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and address any concerns
- Monitor patient comfort and vital signs during procedures
- Assist in the management of dental supplies and inventory
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a surgical setting
- Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
- Proficient in using dental software and managing patient records
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
