With 13 clinics across NSW and Tasmania, a team of over 200 professionals, and 20 years of delivering exceptional care, we provide top-tier, multi-disciplinary support through our dedicated teams across 7 disciplines.
We’re seeking a dedicated and driven Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) that has experience in gut health, the gut microbiome, and mould related illness. You’ll build a caseload that encompasses (IBS, IBD, coeliac disease, food intolerances, SIBO/IMO, bile acid malabsorption, dyspepsia, functional GI disorders) and support clients with medically diagnosed mould related illness.
About The Role
- Deliver Advanced GI nutrition care: Comprehensive assessments, personalised nutrition plans, and progress reviews for IBS, IBD, coeliac disease, SIBO/IMO, functional dyspepsia, and food chemical/FODMAP intolerances.
- Microbiome informed nutrition: Apply current evidence on dietary patterns, fibre diversity, prebiotics/probiotics, and food tolerance reintroduction to optimise symptoms and long term gut health.
- Support for mould related illness: Collaborate with referring GPs/specialists; integrate nutrition strategies (e.g., anti inflammatory patterns, symptom led repletion, energy support) within the medical plan; maintain clear boundaries with evidence based practice.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to support pain modulation, pacing, stress, and behaviour change; participate in case conferences and shared care pathways.
- Testing & data integration: Interpret medically ordered pathology and validated breath/stool results; provide nutrition insights that inform the broader care plan.
- Education & programs: Co create resources, webinars, and group programs (e.g., Low FODMAP small group, gut directed nutrition workshops, flare management modules).
- Client centred counselling: Use motivational interviewing and structured review plans to build self efficacy, reduce food fears, and restore dietary variety where possible.
About You
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed billable hour/KPI expectation (not relevant for new graduates)
- Proven ability maintain clinical standards and positive patient outcomes.
- Ability to develop & implement new strategies and prioritise workloads.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive disposition, empathy and patient manner.
Essential Requirements
- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status
- Solid practical experience in dietetics
- Demonstrated experience (3+ years ideal) in GI nutrition
- The ability to work autonomously
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet KPIs
- Valid drivers licence and access to a vehicle
- Ability to work flexibly and travel as needed
Nice-to-Haves
- Monash University Low FODMAP training (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with CIRS/mould related illness care pathways in a medically supervised, multidisciplinary model.
- Experience with NDIS, chronic disease, or complex comorbidity caseloads.
- Group education facilitation, content creation, or research/QA contributions.
