Due to strong organic growth, we are seeking an Engineering manager to support our
business and lead our coastal engineering team. This would be based in our Brisbane Office,
Australia.
About JB Pacific and the JBA Group
We are experts in natural disasters, dedicated to working on the worlds extreme weather-
related problems. Our engineering team works throughout the coastal zone and
floodplains, supporting disaster risk reduction studies and engineering projects for local
communities.
There are really only three things you need to know about JBP that will shape the work you
do. We primarily work for government agencies – with around 80% of our projects delivered
for either international bodies, state-level agencies or Councils. Our business is founded on
new technology, innovation and R&D, and as an employee-owned business all our profits
are channelled back into research and employee profit-share. We have a clear focus on
climate hazards and extreme weather risks, both in Australia and Internationally. We are a
part of an international team of in the UK, Singapore, USA and Europe. As a member of the

floodplain engineering and management globally.

About the Role
As our Engineering Manager, you will lead our coastal and flood engineering capability
within Australia while supporting projects across the wider JBA Group. You will manage a
team of coastal and civil engineers delivering studies and designs that address flooding,
coastal erosion, storm surge and climate hazards. The role combines technical leadership,
project delivery, and team management, ensuring that our work maintains the high
technical standards and innovation that define JBP. A key part of the role will be mentoring
and developing engineers within the team.
The position offers a balance of technical engagement and leadership, with opportunities to
shape projects that influence policy, infrastructure planning and climate adaptation across
Australia and internationally.

Requirements
1. Right to work in Australia
2. Base in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
3. 10 years’ experience in civil engineering, with demonstrated experience in civil,
coastal, marine or structural engineering projects.
4. Registration as an RPEQ, or ability to complete within 6 months.
