About the Role:
The Finance Officer (Accounts Payable) plays a key role in supporting the Finance Department by ensuring accurate and timely review and processing of invoices, and accounts payables tasks.
Duties/responsibilities include:
- Review invoices for accuracy, ensuring they comply with company policies and guidelines.
- Resolve discrepancies by liaising with internal teams and suppliers.
- Accurately input invoice data into the company's financial system.
- Process payment remittance advice.
- Ensure all invoices and records meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in preparing a range of reports related to accounts payable activities
- Prepare and support month-end journals
- Provide general support to the Finance team in daily tasks.
- Respond to invoice-related queries from internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Support periodic fixed assets count and stocktake.
- Compile data for periodic financial reviews and audits.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable
- A qualification in Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with financial systems or the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
