About the Role:

The Finance Officer (Accounts Payable) plays a key role in supporting the Finance Department by ensuring accurate and timely review and processing of invoices, and accounts payables tasks.

Duties/responsibilities include:

  • Review invoices for accuracy, ensuring they comply with company policies and guidelines.
  • Resolve discrepancies by liaising with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Accurately input invoice data into the company's financial system.
  • Process payment remittance advice.
  • Ensure all invoices and records meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing a range of reports related to accounts payable activities
  • Prepare and support month-end journals
  • Provide general support to the Finance team in daily tasks.
  • Respond to invoice-related queries from internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Support periodic fixed assets count and stocktake.
  • Compile data for periodic financial reviews and audits.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable
  • A qualification in Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with financial systems or the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
