The Opportunity:

We are seeking a high performing and adaptable HSEQ Advisor to support our growing organisation by shaping and embedding strong safety governance, compliance frameworks, and on the ground support to our staff.

This role balances strategic safety leadership with hands on operational support, helping to build and improve WHS systems while actively guiding and supporting teams in day to day safety practices.

You will partner with leaders to promote a proactive safety culture, ensure legislative compliance, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards across our projects and client sites.

Key Focus Areas:

Governance & Compliance

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of WHS systems, frameworks, and policies
  • Ensure compliance with WHS Act 2020 (WA) and all relevant regulatory and industry standards
  • Drive performance against key safety, environmental, and training metrics

Leadership Support & Culture Building

  • Partner with leaders to embed a proactive, accountable safety culture
  • Provide expert guidance to enable informed decision making and risk based thinking
  • Deliver training, promote awareness, and foster engagement at all levels of the organisation

Operational Support

  • Provide advice, coaching and support for our leaders and worksites supporting teams, leading inspections, and responding to day to day safety requirements
  • Manage incident investigations, risk assessments, and environmental compliance activities
  • Coordinate emergency response planning and readiness

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the key interface with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external regulators
  • Participate in WHS committees and contribute to external audits and reviews
  • Ensure clear communication of safety expectations, performance, and responsibilities

What You Bring:

  • Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation, compliance systems, and safety frameworks
  • Demonstrated success in both strategic safety leadership and practical implementation
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and build trust across all organisational levels and external bodies
  • High proficiency in WHS systems, audits, and reporting tools
  • Valid WA Driver’s Licence and First Aid certification
