Intern Software Engineer

Your role

Onshape ( a PTC SaaS business, is the only SaaS product development platform that combines cloud-based CAD and sophisticated collaboration and PDM/PLM functionality. Onshape's data-driven engineering culture encourages innovation, iteration, and continuous improvement.

As an Onshape R&D Software Engineer, you'll be working in the Render Studio team. You will be instrumental in designing and developing services and APIs that enable agile product development and empower mechanical engineering teams to streamline their design and manufacturing processes.

Render Studio enables Onshape users to easily create photorealistic images of their designs using best-in-class, physically accurate rendering technologies, right in the browser. You'll work with many leading-edge technologies such as GPU-accelerated bidirectional path tracing, interactive streaming of cloud-rendered content, and material and appearance description using domain-specific languages such as NVIDIA MDL and AI image processing technologies. This role will entail both front-end and back-end development to expose the features of their underlying GPU rendering technology to end-users of Onshape.

About you

Expected Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Strong foundation in computer science, data structures, algorithms
• Must be enrolled in some type of degree program in one of the following or related fields: Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science
• Must be available for 12 weeks starting on February 2025
• Generative AI (text-to-image, image-to-image, ControlNet etc.)
• Radiance fields (gaussian splatting, NeRF etc.)
