Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies with a strong focus on brand positioning, public relations, and creative direction. This role plays a central part in shaping external communications, brand storytelling, and strategic planning to support organisational growth objectives.
The position leads a multidisciplinary team (or external partners, where applicable), oversees marketing initiatives across owned, earned, and paid channels, and ensures consistent brand representation across all touchpoints. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and reports directly to the Head of Marketing & Brands, providing strategic counsel and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Brand Development
- Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with organisational objectives and informed by audience insights and market analysis.
- Drive brand positioning and messaging frameworks, ensuring they remain relevant and consistent across all channels.
- Support go-to-market strategies for campaigns, initiatives, and new product or service offerings.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
2. Public Relations and Corporate Communications
- Provide strategic leadership for PR and corporate communications, overseeing planning, positioning, and execution through the PR and communications team.
- Guide team members in developing media strategies, identifying key narratives, and building strong relationships with journalists and stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment of internal and external messaging with brand tone and business priorities.
3. Creative Direction and Content Oversight
- Provide strategic and creative oversight for the development of visual and written content across digital, social, print, and experiential platforms.
- Mentor and support the creative team in delivering high-quality assets that reflect brand identity and campaign objectives.
- Ensure brand guidelines are maintained and evolve as required to support growth and market relevance.
- Review key creative outputs, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and audience needs.
4. Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Help to lead, mentor and support a multidisciplinary team across PR, communications, and creative, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide clear direction, constructive feedback, and professional development support to direct reports.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders ensure marketing activity is well-integrated and strategically aligned.
- Manage campaign timelines, budgets, and external agency relationships, ensuring delivery to a high standard.
5. Reporting and Performance Analysis
- Define and track relevant KPIs and success metrics across marketing campaigns and PR activity.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to the Head of Marketing & Brands and executive team.
- Use performance data to optimise strategy, guide team focus, and inform future planning.
Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record of success
- Prior experience with beauty/skincare/wellness/premium online brands will be well regarded
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate cross-functional workshops to achieve project goals.
- Excellent communication, planning, project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while thriving in a fast paced environment
- A high-level analytical thinker who can translate commercial and performance data into actionable strategic insights
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and a confident negotiator and relationship builder with senior stakeholders and external agencies.
- A willingness to travel to/from our HQ in Lidcombe, which is where the team is based 5 days per week.
