REMONDIS is seeking an experienced National Health, Safety & Quality Manager to lead and continuously improve our safety and quality performance across Australia.
This is a critical national leadership role within the People & Safety function, responsible for setting strategy, providing expert guidance and driving consistent, practical safety and quality outcomes across a diverse and operationally complex business. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, operational teams and external stakeholders to embed strong systems, reduce risk and foster a proactive safety culture.
About the Role
Reporting into the People & Safety leadership team, you will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of REMONDIS’ health, safety and quality frameworks nationwide.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading national health, safety and quality strategy aligned to business objectives

Developing, implementing and maintaining WHS and quality management systems

Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, standards and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions

Driving consistent safety and quality practices across operational sites

Providing expert advice to leaders on risk management, incident response and safety performance
-
Overseeing serious incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions
-
Monitoring, analysing and reporting on safety and quality performance and trends
-
Leading internal and external audits and continuous improvement initiatives
-
Coaching and influencing leaders to build strong safety leadership and accountability
About You
You are a confident, pragmatic and influential safety leader who can operate strategically while remaining connected to frontline operations.
You will bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Quality, Risk Management or a related discipline

Significant experience leading health, safety and quality functions in complex, multi-site organisations
-
Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and safety management systems
-
Experience driving safety culture and performance improvement at a national level
-
Proven ability to lead investigations and manage high-risk incidents
-
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
-
Experience in manufacturing, logistics, waste management or heavy industry (highly regarded)
