Optical Dispenser – Part Time

This practice is a well-established, community-focused practice known for personalised care and attention to detail. We’re looking for an experienced Optical Dispenser to join our team in a consistent, part-time role.
The Role
- Part-time: 27-30 hours per week
- Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday + Saturday
- Opportunity to pick up additional hours to cover annual leave and sick leave
What You’ll Be Doing
- Dispensing and fitting eyewear with accuracy and care
- Assisting patients in frame selection and lens options
- Taking precise measurements (PDs, heights, etc.)
- Adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Delivering a warm, professional patient experience
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working in an optometry practice, with exposure to dispensing
- Optical dispensing qualification or currently studying (or working towards it) is welcomed, but not essential
- Strong attention to detail – you notice the small things others miss
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A team player with a reliable and flexible approach
- Willingness to learn and continue developing your skills
