Bakehouse Delights is seeking highly a skilled Pastry Chef with experience to join our team.
Key responsibilities:
-Baking and preparing rolls ,muffins ,cookies ,pies, cakes ,croissants ,Danish pastry, scones ,bars
,Quiche, Tarts ,Tartlets and other baked items.
-Reviewing the production schedules to determine the variety and quantity of goods to be baked,
checking and assembling of raw materials and equipments needed for daily baking activities.
-Weighing, kneading, maturing, cutting, mounding, mixing, placing, proofing and shaping the
dough and preparing the fillings for the pastry.
– Forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of the batches of the baked items
like rolls, muffins and other items.
- Icing, frosting, creaming, spreading, sprinkling, glazing and decorating the baked items.
- Determining and monitoring the baking time for the items, oven temperatures and their
appearance.
– Using, emptying, cleaning and greasing the baking trays, tins and other cooking equipments and
operating machines.
– Ensuring the cleanliness of the cooking equipment’s and area and following the occupational
health and safety regulations.
-Examining and reporting any problems and needs of the equipment’s, food supplies and any
other unusual conditions.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Extensive experience in the industry
Relevant trade qualification
Good knowledge in all aspects of Food Hygiene and WHS
Ability to work fast paced and under pressure to meet production demands
A Flexible, adaptable and hands-on approach, willing to work as part of a team
Experience 4 years or more
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $77,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year(plus superannuation)
