Rarekind
- Lead end-to-end plant operations across production, warehousing, and supply chain.
- Drive performance, productivity, and customer outcomes in a complex, high-volume environment.
- Senior leadership role with global standards, local accountability, and real operational impact.
This is not a coordination role. It’s a performance role.
TE Connectivity’s Energy business is seeking a Plant Manager to take full ownership of a high-volume manufacturing and distribution operation on the NSW Central Coast. With safety as number one priority, you’ll be accountable for everything that happens inside the four walls of the site.
From production and warehouse flow through to inventory accuracy, procurement discipline, and on-time customer delivery.
You’ll lead from the front in a highly structured, global organisation where expectations are clear, performance is measured, and execution is everything.
The environment is matrixed, so your ability to influence across functions and align stakeholders will be just as important as your operational expertise.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager APAC who is based overseas, with strategic responsibility to the local GM of ANZ you’ll be responsible for turning strategy into daily execution. Safely, consistently, and at pace.
What you’ll be responsible for
You’ll own the performance of the plant. Safety, service, productivity, and cost. And be measured on how well those elements hold together under pressure.
- Leading all end-to-end plant operations across production, warehousing, inventory, procurement, and shipping/receiving.
- Setting and executing operational plans that deliver against safety, service, cost, and productivity targets.
- Driving on-time delivery performance, schedule adherence, and inventory accuracy.
- Embedding a strong safety culture with visible, hands-on leadership across the site.
- Managing operational budgets and driving cost discipline across labour, materials, and overheads.
- Leading continuous improvement activity, including Lean and TEOA based initiatives.
- Ensuring optimal flow of materials, resources, and production scheduling across the plant.
- Developing team capability and building a strong, accountable on-site leadership culture.
- Acting as the key operational interface between the site, internal stakeholders, and global functions.
- Running disciplined operational reviews with clear reporting on performance, risks, and actions.
What you’ll bring
You’ll be a proven plant or operations leader who is comfortable owning complexity and driving clarity in fast-moving environments.
This role suits someone who understands that operational excellence is built through systems, people, and a strong culture. Not heroics.
- 10+ years’ experience in senior operations leadership roles within manufacturing, logistics, or high-volume industrial environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading full-site or plant-level operations with end-to-end accountability.
- Strong capability across production, warehousing, inventory control, and supply chain execution.
- Experience operating within structured, matrixed, or global organisations.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to engage, influence, and hold teams accountable.
- Proven ability to deliver operational improvement through Lean, continuous improvement, or similar frameworks.
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and execution discipline in complex environments.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, efficiency, and service outcomes.
What’s on offer
This is a senior operational leadership role with genuine accountability and visibility.
- Full ownership of a complex, high-volume manufacturing and distribution site.
- A global organisation with clear performance standards and strong operational support.
- The opportunity to shape culture, systems, and execution discipline on a critical site.
- Exposure to global stakeholders and broader operational networks.
- Long-term career pathway within a well-established international business.
If you’re an experienced operations leader who thrives in high-accountability environments and prefers being close to execution rather than observing from distance, this role will suit you.
