Production Assistant

YourCoffee is a high quality, accessible contract coffee roasting operation providing solutions for the foodservice, retail and commercial markets both domestically and internationally. Working from a modern, high tech facility in Brunswick, YourCoffee is at the forefront of providing accessible specialty contract coffee roasting services with a scalable operation to venture into new product lines, brands and markets.

Casual Position available to commence work immediately, 15 hours, Monday to Friday availability preferred but Tuesday, Wednesday and all day Thursday a must!

About the role

YourCoffee is offering a fantastic opportunity to join our an innovative and exciting team as a Production assistant. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for working line equipment, operating coffee roasting equipment, plant maintenance, cleaning, assisting with warehousing tasks and assisting with picking and packing, dispatching orders.

This position has the following responsibilities:

• Operating Coffee Roasting equipment
• Packing coffee and fulfilling orders
• Assisting with stock movements and receiving deliveries
• Plant maintenance and cleaning
• Maintaining the plant's compliance with Food Safety Regulations and various product certifications
• Other general warehouse and production tasks as needed.

You will be perfect for this role if you have:

• Availability to work casual Monday – Friday
• Previous experience working in either production, warehouse, coffee roasting, assembly line or food manufacturing plant
• Strong initiative with the ability to follow systems
• Astute problem-solving capability
• Competency with computers and software including cloud-based software
• Technical skills with machinery and a willingness to learn how they work
• Experience operating in a manufacturing and production centered role
• A Forklift license (advantage but not required)
