McLean Farms is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in Pittsworth, 30 minutes Southwest of Toowoomba. Specialising in livestock and food production, the business is involved with a broad range of agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise quality assurance activities on the Grading and Packing Floor

• Oversee egg quality tests, visual inspections, equipment monitoring, and lab testing (pH, temperature, wash tests)
• Maintain compliance with internal, export, and regulatory standards through accurate documentation and reporting
• Lead and support the Quality Control Attendant team, including training, task delegation, and performance reviews
• Coordinate equipment calibration, start-up/shutdown processes, and ensure adherence to CCP standards
• Investigate non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and document via NCRs
• Contribute to audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Bring:
• Proven experience in quality control, preferably within a food production environment
• Strong understanding of HACCP, SQF, and food safety standards
• Effective leadership and team management skills
• Familiarity with quality control equipment (e.g., DET machines and related software)
• High attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities
• Understanding of export-quality product standards and regulatory compliance
