Senior Accounts Officer

Hays is partnering with a well-established manufacturing business based near Perth Airport to recruit an experienced Accounts Officer. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and supporting a broader finance function within a fast‑paced operational environment.

Your new role

• Covering accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as required to ensure continuity of operations
• Preparing and processing month‑end journals in line with reporting requirements and timelines
• Completing bank and credit card reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Managing international goods receipting, including tracking deposits, final payments and associated documentation
• Maintaining accurate records for international purchases to support inventory and financial reporting
• Assisting the Company Accountant and Finance Manager with ad‑hoc finance, accounting and administrative tasks as required

What you'll need to succeed

You will bring previous experience in a similar Accounts Officer or finance support role, ideally within manufacturing, logistics or a product‑based environment. You will be comfortable working across AP and AR, have strong reconciliation skills and be confident managing high volumes with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a small finance team will be key to success.

Commercial accounting experience, with end‑to‑end AP and AR processing

• Proven experience completing bank reconciliations, including complex reconciliations
• Experience with credit card reconciliations
• Exposure to international goods receiving and freight invoice processing
• Month‑end support experience, including journals, data collection and reconciliations
• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
• A self‑starter mindset, comfortable working with limited training
• A team‑player attitude, with a friendly, hardworking approach
