Role – Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Join a high-performing team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level cloud infrastructure. This role will see you take ownership of OpenStack and Ceph environments, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience for critical workloads.

Employment Type and Duration

· Contract – 12 months + extensions

· Work Model – Hybrid

· Location- QLD, ACT, VIC

Key Responsibilities

· Lead architectural design and expansion of OpenStack and Ceph clusters

· Manage end-to-end hardware lifecycle including procurement and deployment

· Design and implement secure, scalable network configurations (SDN, VLANs)

· Provide SME-level guidance on cloud performance, capacity, and disaster recovery

· Ensure stability and optimisation of private cloud platforms

Required Skills & Experience

· Strong hands-on experience with OpenStack (Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Horizon)

· Expertise in Linux system administration (preferably RHEL)

· Proven experience in designing and troubleshooting complex cloud networking environments

· Advanced troubleshooting skills with experience acting as an SME

· Experience with Ceph storage architecture and cluster management (desirable)

· Knowledge of physical infrastructure, hardware design, and data centre environments (desirable)

· Exposure to automation, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines (desirable)

Qualifications & Clearance

· Australian Citizenship is mandatory

· NV1 Security Clearance is a must
