Due to growing project demand, we are seeking a Telecommunications Field Engineer to join our team in Perth.

Location: Perth, WA
Position: Telecommunications Field Engineer – Full-Time
Salary: $77,000 – $83,000 + Superannuation

About the Role
The Telecommunications Field Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting telecommunications systems and network infrastructure. This is a hands-on field-based role requiring technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install and configure telecommunications equipment, cabling, and network components.
2. Conduct site surveys and assess technical requirements for network installations.
3. Test and commission telecommunications systems to ensure functionality and performance.
4. Diagnose and resolve faults in telecommunications networks and related infrastructure.
5. Perform preventative maintenance and upgrades to ensure system reliability.
6. Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and network diagrams.
7. Maintain accurate service records and technical documentation.
8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
9. Liaise with clients and internal teams to coordinate installation and repair schedules.
10. Provide technical support and advice during project implementation.

Skills & Experience

1. Diploma/Advanced Diploma (or higher) in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in telecommunications installation, maintenance, or field engineering roles.
3. Strong understanding of network infrastructure, cabling systems, and communication equipment.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and documentation.
5. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
6. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
7. Ability to work independently in field-based environments.
8. Commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
