Real Futures is working closely with UN Women to deliver a program exclusively for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in the Greater Western Sydney region, Kempsey New South Wales, and in Carnarvon Western Australia, with the financial support of the BHP Foundation.
Many First Nations women have found themselves marginalised – excluded economically and socially – through circumstance and stereotype.
The Women’s Business Second Chance (WBSC) Hub is a ground-breaking program for women at risk of being left behind. It aims to give them the chance to achieve quality learning, entrepreneurship and employment outcomes through access to educational, employment and support services, tailored to their needs as learners and future earners.
Real Futures is a majority Aboriginal-owned and staffed company. We provide tailored employment services, Parent Pathways Program (PPP), Community Development Program (CDP), Transition to Work (TtW), Indigenous Skills and Employment Program (ISEP) and Disability Employment Services (DES) across Australia.
A day in the life of our Women's Business Second Chance Hub – Site Coordinator can include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supporting for WSHB Reach Out Officers and other Support Staff
- Leading, developing, supporting, motivating and ensuring high performance that is passionate and committed to building community capacity through education, training and personal support
- Delivering aspirant supports and referrals as required
- Liaising with community stakeholders to develop and implement employer, aspirant and community relationships
- Ensuring correct documentary evidence is obtained and submitted for processing
- Identifying, managing and notifying program management Team of potential risks and opportunities
- Overseeing and ensuring correct reporting of hub activities and outcomes
- Ensuring administration and data entry is completed daily in accordance with Real Futures process
- Ensuring participating stakeholders are appropriately trained and support our operations
- Engaging in business development to increase opportunities for participating women and to promote economic development in the Region
- Monitoring expenditure of hub ensuring requisition forms are completed and all expenditure is evaluated and approved within delegation limits and expenditure policies
- Managing, coordinate and promote hub activity schedules in line with operational requirements
- Conducting site staff inductions and manage employee relations

Knowledge/Skills
- Tertiary Qualifications or similar experience in Administration, Human Services, Business, Marketing, counselling, Employment Services fields desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of the team
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of labour market strategies, training or development programs
- Demonstrated Leadership and Management
- Demonstrated experience in business development activities
- Knowledge of relevant government programs and funding opportunities
- Organisational and prioritisation skills
- Communication (verbal and written), active listening and presentation skills
- Understanding of workplace requirements
- Understanding of Aboriginal women and the issues they face
- Computer skills in word, excel, and database entry
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and decisions
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to comply with Real Futures’ code of conduct, company policies and procedures and uphold the organisations values in all interactions

To be considered you must…
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
- Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
- Ability to work Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm
